As part of our research and planning we read a complete short story called 'The open window', as 99% of films are based from books, we were practicing how to produce a screenplay and a storyboard based on a book. Also by doing this, it will help us get the experience needed in order to create a screenplay and a storyboard for our final piece.

Research and Planning
Research and planning involves us analysing different types of opening scenes to a thriller. It also involved us practicing the main shots in a preliminary task, so we get an idea how to edit an film for our final piece. The main shots were Match and action, 180 degree rule and shot reverse shots, by doing this we are practicing how to use a camera and also how to edit which the software final cut pro for our final piece.
